Colegio de San Juan de Letran - Manaoag, together with the Local Government Unit of Manaoag (LGU) and Manaoag Rural Health Unit (RHU), conducted the vaccination drive for kids at the St. Dominic de Guzman building last February 24, 2022.

Letran - Manaoag participated in the DOH’s Resbakuna Kids Program by offering the school facilities to accommodate the pediatric vaccination drive for kids ages 5 - 11 years old.

The classrooms where the vaccination was administered turned into colorful and child-friendly rooms. It is for the kids to feel relaxed and lessen the fear of being vaccinated. For the first day, 50 kids participated and were vaccinated at the facility.

The Colegio was chosen to be the vaccination area for Resbakuna Kids Program because of its good environment, and it is near the Rural Health Unit Center’s vicinity. The location and the good venue, as well as the assistance of the school staff, became advantageous in the vaccine rollout.

The program was open to all children who registered beforehand and with their parent’s consent. They also allowed walk-ins. However, the children to be vaccinated should be accompanied by their parents or guardian.

On the following day, the vaccination was also open to adults who wants to get vaccinated. Adult participants can have their first dose, second dose, or booster shot of the vaccine.

Letran - Manaoag supports the Ligtas na Balik Eskwela Program of the Department of Education. Hence, one with the different government agencies and private organizations, the Colegio expressed its proactive support to the goal of providing safe and healthier spaces for students, teachers, and other stakeholders through its participation in this vaccination drive.

There is no date yet of when the vaccination drive will end. Meanwhile, the Resbakuna Program for kids and adults continues at Letran - Manaoag.

The Colegio also encourages its students, teachers, staff, and the student’s relatives to get vaccinated as part of their preparation for the gradual reopening of the face-to-face classes.

The vaccination program is open to all registered and walk-in participants.
